Biotechnology
Biotech Testing - GEMEN Analytical Laboratories offers several tests that take advantage of the latest developments in gene and DNA technology. GEMEN ’s biotech personnel can perform analysis for food allergens, GMO crops for export, food source identification (animal meat and milk species), skin irritation, skin corrosivity, and eye irritation.
Cosmetics
Cosmetic Testing – GEMEN tests various cosmetics and beauty products. We have procedures for sunscreens, lip balms, sunless tanning mists, body lotions, lipsticks, foundations, eye colors (shadow and mascara), moisturizers, fragrances and many others.
We test by FDA approved standards, and by foreign standards when applicable for export.
At GEMEN Analytical, cosmetic analysis is one of our primary areas of expertise. Our cosmetic scientists are fully staffed for seven days of operation. Ninety percent of our analyses are performed on a daily basis. Our high quality instruments such as liquid chromatography, gas chromatography and ion-chromatography are used for the assay and purity of active ingredients.
Dietary Supplements
Dietary Supplement Testing - GEMEN Dietary Supplements Testing department is staffed with skilled scientists that have expertise in vitamins and minerals analysis, dietary supplements and enzymes, functional foods, and botanical/herbal supplements.
GEMEN's nutraceutical lab is equipped with state-of-the art instruments, such as HPLC, gas chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, ICP mineral analysis, and ion chromatography.
Food and Nutrition
Food Testing Service – Food Product Testing involves multiple steps of sample preparation and tedious extraction. Due to the complicated nature of the food product matrice. Our food testing group performs the quality control testing on food raw material and finished goods from sweet tooth snacks such as cake, cookies, candy, yogurt or ice cream; starch carbohydrate sources such as rice, noodles, and pie; beverages such as juice, mixed drinks, wine or beer—GEMEN Lab has implemented continuous training on laboratory techniques, instrumentation, technical knowledge, preparation and extraction skills.
GEMEN Laboratory performs Raw Material Quality Testing according to published FCC (Food Chemical Codex published by USP) and UNICEF FAO published methods.
